Update - 16 Sep 2005
Tony's
daughters, Victoria and Heather, took part in the Heart's
First Stroll along the Thames on the 4th of September. The
sponsored walk was two and a half miles along the South Bank
of the River Thames and the girls managed to raise £206.00
which will pay for two patients to have adequate nursing care
whilst they recoup after their heart operations.
Tony
himself has been in training for a few months to prepare himself
for the Bupa Great North Run which he completed in two hours
and 23 minutes on Sunday September 18th. This is a half marathon
and was Tony's first ever run (hopefully, not his last!).
He ran in aid of the drug research and development department
at The Royal Marsden Hospital. You can still make a donation
towards this very worthy cause at the practice.
Gina,
our practice manageress, is taking part in the 60km walk in
London on the weekend of the24th and 25th of September in
aid of Breast Cancer.
The
practice as a whole will be participating in "Wear It
Pink" day on the 28th of October, again for the Breast
Cancer Campaign.
